Bosch recently upgraded the design of its Bosch Impact Tough Bits to keep pace with ever more powerful impact drivers.ย The upgrade includes impact-rated screw driving bits, double-ended bits, nut setters, and sockets and bit holders. The bits feature Boschโs Xtended Torsion Zone, designed to absorb torque peaks and reduce breakage by transferring torque stress at the tip of the bit to the Torsion Zone for tension dissipation.ย The 6-inch Impact Tough Double-Ended Bits feature a Dual Torsion Zone designed to protect both ends of the bit.ย All the bits in the upgraded series come with a silver sleeve for visibility and laser markings rather than stamped scripts for identification.

In the quest for one bit to rule them all โ or at least rule all applications โ Bosch offers up this upgraded and expanded line ofย bits to withstand the increasing concussive force of stronger impact drivers. After all, what good is a powerful tool if the delivery method is the weak link?
Some of us might consider bits to be a throwaway accessory: buy a multipack and chuck them when they wear down. But the generic multipack bits donโt hook up well to all fasteners and they sure wonโt last long in todayโs stronger tools. Besides, theyโre small and get lost easily.
