Southwire Covers The Basics
The Southwire Electricianโs Kit should cover the basic needs of anyone who needs to test a circuit, disassemble a panel, or repair some wiring.
This kit includes a pair of Southwireโs S1018STR wire strippers. Southwire constructs this tool from stainless steel for rust resistance. They can strip, snip, and bend both 10-18 gauge solid copper wire and 12-20 gauge stranded copper wire. The handles feature comfortable, double-dipped grips for better ergonomics. An easy-to-access thumb lock holds the whole thing together when not in use.
The Southwire Electricianโs kit also includes the 40116N Non-Contact Voltage Tester. With a detection range between 100-600V AC, you shouldnโt ever need to worry about having to jam anything into a live circuit. It has a flashlight on the non-business end, and it runs off of two included AAA batteries.
Finally, the Southwire Electricianโs Kit includes the SD9N1 Multi-Bit Screwdriver. This driver includes some of your basic bit sizes and shapes, as well as a couple common hex driver sizes. It includes #1 and #2 Phillips tips, 3/16โณ and 1/4โณ slotted tips, #1 and #2 square tips, and 1/4โณ, 5/16โณ,ย and 3/8โณ hex drivers. The handle features a ridged rubber overmold and printing on the butt of the handle for easy identification.
