Got A Light? This Ryobi LED Flashlight Wonโt Leave You in the Dark
The Ryobi 18V PCL660 One+ LED Flashlight joins Ryobiโs extensive line of LED lighting products. On the smaller side, we wanted to get a better understanding of how this light can help you on and off the clock.

- Easy to adjust
- Efficient
- Compatible with all 18V One+ batteries
Cons
- Only one light intensity setting
Using the Ryobi PCL660 18V One+ LED Flashlight
โI need a third hand!โโฆ sound familiar? Outside of using a headlamp or a bulkier work light, there arenโt a ton of options for a compact adjustable hands-free flashlight.
This Ryobi flashlight features a 130ยบ pivoting head to align its 280 lumens of output and 500 feet of throw. The big deal is that it puts out much more light than the previous P705. That LED light put out 130 lumens and had 100 feet of throw.
You can stand the flashlight up on its battery to use it as a base. It lets you set the PCL660 light down, position the head where you need it, and leave your hands free for the work at hand.
Notice the tight spot beam, though. Itโs not adjustable and with only one setting, what you see is what you get. While you can use it as a task light, you might want to give it some distance from what youโre working on so itโs not too intense.

It makes for a really great flashlight for moving around when thereโs not enough light for your eyes alone. The lens keeps the majority of its light where youโre pointing it while the side spill still offers plenty of peripheral vision. Thanks to its pivoting head, you can hold it like a traditional flashlight, a 90ยฐ flashlight, or anything in between.
When it comes to runtime, expect up to 22 hours with a 4.0Ah battery and around 11 hours with a 2.0Ah. Even on a long weekend camping trip, that should be more than enough to cover your needs.
Ryobi PCL660 18V One+ LED Light Additional Field Notes
Depending on your choice of battery, youโll notice the obvious bottom-heavy nature of this light. The bigger the battery, the greater the effect because the flashlight itself is very lightweight. As a bare tool, itโs just 8.5 ounces but when you throw in a 4.0Ah battery, that weight jumps to 2.12 pounds.
