This week a well-known manufacturer of outdoor power tools has ventured into new territory. The rechargeable EGO Cordless Nose Hair Trimmer promises to be a game-changer in the personalย grooming category. This tool is loosely based on the EGO 56V cordless blower. However, instead of using an impeller to drive air, the 5.6V nose trimmer features interleaved quad cutters to neatly and efficiently trim excess nose hair.
When youโre done cutting, the tool features an โevacuationโ feature to pull the loose hair out and into the sink basin through the integratedย micro-blower.
โWe designed theย rechargeable 5.6V EGO Nose Hair Trimmer to provide over 30-days of operating time before needing a recharge. Itโs our most sophisticated product and features over 200 moving parts in a tool thatโs just 4-inches long.โ

Weโve tested this new nose hair trimmer ourselves and found it to provide great ergonomics and plenty of cutting power. The new tool features a comfort tip with a pliable rubber overmold that conforms to any shape nose. It fits perfectly into the nostril and cuts all nose hair simultaneously. Plus, the evacuation feature is simply the easiest way to clean a personal grooming product weโve yet seen.
We think this is just the beginning. Now that EGO has entered the personal grooming category, a shaver seems likely later this year. Perhaps theyโll base it on their 56V self-propelled lawnmower?
