Robert Bosch Tool Corp. recalled about 20,000 Bosch hammer drillsย because the grounding system and trigger system could create a electrical shock hazard andย the drillโs switch can get stuck in the โonโ position, the Consumer Product Safety Council (CPSC) said.ย The drills were sold at home improvement, hardware and retail storesย nationwide from September 2009 through August 2010 for between $140 andย $220. Consumers should return the drill to the company for repair. CPSCย lists the model numbers affected by the recall as:
- Bosch 1/2 inch 2-Speed Hammer Drill with model number HD19-2, HD19-2D, HD19-2L
- Bosch 1/2 inch 2-Speed Hammer Drills with model number HD 21-2
