I know, I knowโฆ it seems like weโve had toilet on the brain this week โ but we canโt help it. Now, American Standard is offering a free Toilet Challenge App which can be downloaded on the iTunes Store. The app will work on the iPhone, iPod, and iPad and allows users to test how various items, including golf balls, childrens modeling clay, cat litter, chicken nuggets, hot dogs and bananas, will flush down an American Standard toilet. No joke โ thereโs even videos of American Standard toilets undergoing the various flushing challenges. And of course, if youโre anal about these things (pun intended), there are even links to product specifications and information about toilet technology available through direct social media feeds. You can also look up nearby retail locations or online outlets where a specific American Standard toilet can be purchased โ you know, in the event you REALLY have to go.

Now, I donโt know if this is exactly the type of app that weโd label as โpracticalโ but itโs definitely good for a laughโฆ I think. Who knows, maybe theyโll put on infomercials next where they demo, in real life, the flushing of various and a sundry objects down the drain. New York is probably going to get taken over by radioactive, super-sized crocodile any day now.
