The new Milwaukee M18 Fuel SDS-Max rotary hammer is the brandโs most powerful cordless model to date. Theyโre moving up the food chain thanks to their Next Breakthrough in the M18 Fuel line.
The High Output series of RedLithium batteries, highlighted by the 12.0 Ah battery pack, gives Milwaukee the ability to go after large-frame brushless motors and design more powerful tools.
The Milwaukee 2718ย produces 8.1 foot-pounds of impact energy to go along with 380 RPM and 2900 BPM. Thatโs nearly 60% more impact energy than Milwaukeeโs 2717 M18 Fuel SDS-Max rotary hammer.
The system boasts an impressive feature set with soft start, lock on, and anti-vibration design. What really helps it stand out is the addition of an e-clutch and Milwaukee One-Key. The e-clutch electronically limits the hammer to 45ยฐ of rotation in the event that the bit binds up.ย One-Key gives you tracking, inventory management, and security functions.

The Milwaukee 2718-21HD features a 12.0 Ah battery and Rapid Charger. A bare tool option will be available for $899. Milwaukee will also be looking at a March 2019 launch for a 15-amp corded version.
