Weโve written a lot about Acme Tools, but this week we received word that theyโre expanding their corporate headquarters, adding new offices to support the growth of their e-commerce business. Thatโsย something weโre excited about, as it offers more opportunities for great tool deals.
Details of the Acme Tools Expansion
This week held theย announcementย of a planned expansion of its current corporate headquarters in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The project includes a newly constructed addition that will feature a new entrance, executive offices, a boardroom, a large employee training room, and a new employee lunchroom. New offices, conference rooms, and open work areas will also be added, as well as remodeling of the current corporate offices.
The design of the new spaces focuses on the needs of Acme Tools corporate employees, providing the environment, technology, and comfort required to increase efficiency and productivity. The expansion increases the size of the corporate headquarters building to 15,000 square feet.
Acme Tools employees will attend manufacturer training and company training programs in the new 35-person training facility. Specifically designed to provide a unique learning environment for employees, the new training room will also integrate advanced training technology.
Repurposing Existing Spaces
The project also repurposes existing warehouse space to create new parking areas and green spaces.
The additional space will allow us to have the entire corporate staff in the same building and provide for improved communication at all levels. This expansion provides needed space for all departments and in particular for the growth of our call center staff and the growing number of buyers supporting our online business.

Construction on the Acme Tools Corporate Headquarters remodel and expansion began late last year and is scheduled to be completed on September 1, 2015. The new corporate headquarters building is collocated with the Acme Tools store and Acme Rents in Grand Forks.ย One of Acme Toolsโย goals with this project is to expand itsย corporate presence in the areaย while helpingย revitalize North Washington Street in Grand Forks.
